This place never disappoints. The fish is always fried to perfection, and the service is consistently friendly. The portion sizes are generous—I always have enough left over for the next day. Definitely my go-to spot for some good quality pan trout!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 — Kim Pendleton
The BEST seafood restaurant in Mississippi. You can feel the soul of the cooks in every bite of the dishes we ate. The 3pc pan trout was crispy, fresh & hot.... And OOOOOO so GOOD. I never tastes Fried Green Tomatoes so delicate and lite....... The batter was not coming off the tomatoe even after I took a bite of it... This place is a PERFECT TEN out of TEN.

This place is a little best kept secret! I'm aware that there are 3 Harvey Fish Houses but the one in Ponda Rosa hits different! It's like the employees and the food is a little more seasoned. This was my first time going to this location on 10/20/25 @ approx 2:45. I pulled in the parking lot, it was small but clean, no one hanging out or asking for money. I said ok, this is good! I open the door and was shocked the inside was so cozy clean and well lit. I said I know if all this is good, I know the service has to suck! I approached the window with caution.... A little lady kindly said, "May I help you.: I said, I had a call in order for a porkchop sandwich! She said, ok baby, I gotcha. The younger guy in the kitchen was cooking and an older female. Both greeted me with a smile when I made eye contact. I got my food and was exiting and getting in my car when a tall, well dressed man exited and said, you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by! After I asked around. I found out that, that was the durn owner. You just don't get service like that anymore. My whole experience was a 10+! As you can tell by the picture, I didn't play with my sandwich!!!

Harvey's Fish House is a staple of Rankin County and whenever I come back, I'm always greeted with great service and great food. Harvey's has expanded to 3 locations, but each one offers the same great quality of food. I enjoy my visit everytime I come back and I look forward to my future visit in the near future. Best Catfish I have ever had... hands down!

An absolut breath of fresh air. The wonderful ladies at Harveys made great recommendations and filled us up with the best pan fried trout I've ever had, the catfish was a solid 2nd and the fried green tomatoes, well let's just leave it at your grandma never made them this good. They were thin, perfectly seasoned and stayed hot all the way through our meal. They will tell you Im not lying when I asked them to adopt me, or atleast give me a job working there. Im not saying that we drove all the way from South Florida to eat there but we did drive all the way from South Florida and ate there! Now I have to figure out a way back for more! Thank you to all of the ladies at Harvey's for a delicious lunch! Southern hospitality in full force.
